August 27-31, 2007: FREE Lab2Market Entrepreneurship Workshop
DFJ Frontier believes entrepreneurs are extraordinary. Their team consists of investors who have also founded and grown companies, so they know how to help because they've done it themselves. Their philosophy is to provide support to help you turn your idea or technology into a self-sustaining business with real value. They expect the managers of their portfolio companies to own significant equity stakes.
DFJ Frontier invests in start-ups with the opportunity to change the world. They seek out entrepreneurs who have the energy, discipline, and courage to create something from nothing and the desire to work with investment partners who have the experience to help them get there. They are particularly interested in emerging technologies and will consider any market driven technology opportunity including software, information services, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and alternative energy.
Scott has a dynamic teaching style, and he is very effective in imparting the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize, develop and communicate potential commercial opportunities arising from leading-edge research. The workshop is a five-day intensive experience that integrates lectures, exercises, and team projects. Applicants must commit to attending _all_ of the five days.
